Card design for our in-universe CCG (collectible card game), the layout was play-tested extensively before finalized using the crude blockout to determine the best location and size of each element so it provided maximum readability for as many screen resolutions and aspect ratios as possible. Once I decided on a general layout it came time to design a "pretty version" which was made using a number of layered elements with various textures and blending options applied in Photoshop, metal textures were sourced from a combination of stock images and real-life photography by myself.
The designs are used as prefabs with scriptable objects in Unity filling in all the writing through code, what you see in the artwork is an example of how this could turn out. The central artwork is done by ikaccass.artstation.com at my direction (design brief).
